Ole-Gunnar Solskjaer: Is He Really the right man to take the club forward?

The baby-faced assassin. Super-sub. Ole-Gunnar Solskjaer has his fair share of monikers at Old Trafford.

Yes,as a player he was one of the best but that does not necessarily mean he will come anywhere near being a good let alone great manager.

There have been many great players, over the years, who failed to make leap into management. His stay at Cardiff lasted only 9 months during which time they earned only 30 points & ended in relegation. And the beginning of Cardiff's start in the Championship was poor to say the least.

Alright so when OLE got his job as a temporary manager at Man United there were lots of things already wrong at the club. Jose Mourinho had fallen out with many players like Pogba, Martial and others. The players wanted a way out of the club and were not playing for the club or the manager. This happened because he wasn’t backed in the summer by the board and he didn’t get the players he wanted because he knew this squad needed reinforcements. After Ole’s arrival the players were happy as he allowed them to play their natural game with freedom. As a result United started producing results, the players got their confidence back as OLE backed them to play attacking football and we were back to winning ways. This spark gave us high hopes of finishing in TOP 4 and the win over PSG set our expectations at sky level.
But since Ole’s been made the permanent manager things have turned upside down. it's due to a lack of personnel or other internal reasons but I can guarantee, it's not the Manchester United style of play. It's unacceptable to the administration, the fans, former and current players. If he keeps it up, he's likely to loose the dressing room. Fernandes is getting frustrated, De Gea and Henderson both feel can do without the club, Pogba sees no progress, etc.

In the last season, Manchester United finished runners-up in the English Premier League after a shaky start to the season. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was on the brink of being sacked after the first eight games played in the EPL. However, he turned things around after the first international break in November. A few media outlets tipped the club to finish in the middle of the pack, but Manchester United reached the top of the table in January. The runners up prize in the Europa League could, similarly, be construed as a sign of progress – as it was one step better than the semi-finals Solskjaer’s men achieved the previous year. But for most, Villareal were a very beatable team and the final performance was a bitter disappointment.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's transfer record since he took over as Manchester United boss is superb. In just over three years, the Norwegian has offloaded a number of older squad players, while simultaneously bringing in several top-quality players - including the likes of Bruno Fernandes and Harry Maguire.

This summer Man utd completed two of the biggest singings of the summer . They bought Jason Sancho, the English winger from Borussia Dortmund for 73 million and on Tuesday that a deal had been struck with Real Madrid for Varane, a longstanding target. The World Cup-winning French defender has agreed personal terms on a four-year deal with the option of another season, with the contract to be signed after he completes his medical following quarantine.
Solskjaer desperately needs to improve the defensive coaching and fix all the above problems – or make progress toward fixing them – if he is to convince the fanbase that their patience will not be in vain and that he is the man to lead United back to their former glories.

In 2021-22, United have to seriously challenge City (and allcomers) for a first championship in nine years. If this is a tough ask – City, for one, will surely only become better – it feels folly to write off Solskjær. He tends to respond in precisely the best way when required.

REAL MADRID: THE KINGS OF EUROPE

Real Madrid won 3 three consecutive UCL titles during 2016–2018 because they had a great squad , a great man manager and p one of the greatest football player of all time if not the greatest in Cristiano Ronaldo.  Zidane's tenure started in January 2016 and took over a struggling side and managed to conquer the Camp Nou in his first visit. This was a vital momemt in that campaign and restored faith in the team and fans. They had some impressive performances like winning the El Clasico 2–1 at the Camp Nou and breaking Barca's 38 match unbeaten run. At the end of the end season they were the champions of Europe and narrowly lost the league to FC Barcelona. Why has Italy won the World Cup the most amongst European nations?

Let me tell you , Germany now has the same number of world cups as that of Italy. But yes, When it comes to major achievements in the international arenas, no nation has won as much as the Mediterranean country. So what is the secret behind this success? Madonna once famously flaunted a slogan T-Shirt with the caption: "Italians do it better". And while the Princess of Pop was suggestively alluding to another physically popular pastime, she could just as well have been referring to soccer. Tactical Supremacy On a purely footballing level, there is little doubt that Italy’s tactical supremacy has been a key weapon.Whether it be Helenio Herrera’s Catenaccio, Sacchi’s total pressing or Luciano Spalletti’s ‘False 9’, the peninsula has long been at the forefront of strategic innovation. There is a unique obsession with tactics in Italy. Its importance is drilled into children from a young age and Jose Mourinho once amusingly remarked that “everyone in Italy thinks they...
