All twenty teams have been in the action over the past few days heading into a busy period in LaLiga with a full midweek fixture list. It didn’t look like it was going to be, but it ended up an excellent for viewer's!

It was a weekend where a number of centre-backs put in impressive displays. Mario Hermoso shone for Atletico Madrid while Ronald Araujo also features largely because of his involvement in the opposing half rather than his own.

Real Madrid 2 - 1 Valencia

With this victory, Real Madrid lead the La Liga standings with 13 points, two more than defending champions Atletico Madrid

The Real Madrid run continues. Ancelotti's team are still unbeaten this season but had to come from behind at Mestalla to move top of LaLiga. Vinicius Jr. and Benzema were crucial in the victory. The Brazilian equalised in the 86th minute after an assist from the Frenchman before Benzema netted the winner two minutes later after a pass by the Brazilian in a fast-pace and entertaining encounter.

Valencia, which entered the weekend tied for first with Madrid and Atlético, opened the scoring with a goal from Hugo Duro in the 66th after a mistake by Madrid defender Lucas Vázquez, who replaced the injured Dani Carvajal in the first half.

Sevilla 0 - 0 Real Sociedad

Sevilla earned a 0-0 draw at Real Sociedad in LaLiga on Sunday after enjoying yet more good fortune facing penalties.

Mikel Oyarzabal missed a first-half penalty kick as Real Sociedad was held to a 0-0 draw against Sevilla in a matchup between teams expected to be near the top at the end of the season. Oyarzabal had his 27th-minute penalty stopped by Sevilla goalkeeper Bono, who also came up with some key saves later in the game.

It was Sociedad's second consecutive draw after three straight victories in all competitions. Sevilla drew its last three games. Sociedad is fourth in the standings, with Sevilla in sixth place.

Villarreal 0 - 0 Mallorca

Unai emery's Villarreal has done nothing else but draws this season

Mallorca played 0-0 draw against Villarreal in the Spanish league on Sunday.

American forward Matthew Hoppe entered the game in the 60th minute and had his goal disallowed after a breakaway in the 82nd. He converted a cross by Joan Sastre into the net but the linesman ruled him offside. Video review confirmed the call.

FC Barcelona 1 - 1 Granada

Ronald Koeman's Barcelona escapes with a 1-1 draw thanks to a 90th-minute header from Ronald Araujo vs. Granada.

Barcelona needed a 90th-minute equaliser from Ronald Araujo to save the blushes. The draw left Barcelona in seventh place in La Liga.

Less than a week after a demoralizing loss to Bayern Munich in the Champions League, Barcelona faltered at Camp Nou again, being held by winless Granada 1-1 in La Liga on Monday. Barcelona needed a 90th-minute equalizer by defender Ronald Araujo, sparking jeers by many in the crowd of nearly 27,000.

Granada came to Barcelona winless in four matches and coming off two consecutive losses, including at home against Real Betis in the Andalucia derby last week. It defeated Barcelona at Camp Nou the last time they met in April.

Koeman couldn’t count on several players because of injuries, including Jordi Alba and Pedri Gonzalez. He added a few youngsters in the second half, including Riqui Puig and 17-year-old Gavi, who set up Araújo’s equalizer. Philippe Coutinho was one of the players replaced.

Veteran defender Gerard Pique played as a striker after coming into the game in the final minutes.

Atletico Madrid 0 - 0 Athletic club Bilbao

Felix was shown a yellow card for striking Unai Vencedor in the 78th minute following which he shouted at the referee, who instantly produced a second card and sent him off.

Diego Simeone’s side will be frustrated after being held to a 0-0 draw by an effective and disciplined Athletic Club Bilbao side that had the best chances to win the match.

Atletico’s frustration was compounded when Joao Felix was sent off with 13 minutes left to play after saying “you are crazy, you are crazy” to referee Gil Manzano, while Athletic remain unbeaten and have conceded just once in their first five games.

Rayo Vallecano 3 - 0 Getafe

Former Atletico striker Radamel Falcao came on as a substitute and scored on his debut to round off Rayo Vallecano’s 3-0 win over Getafe.

Oscar Trejo’s ninth minute penalty put Rayo ahead in a bad-tempered derby and Pathe Ciss’s 78th minute header doubled Rayo’s lead against a rival that has kicked off the season with five consecutive defeats under coach Michel Gonzalez.

Getafe’s misery was complete when Rayo keeper, Stole Dimitrievski saved Enes Unal’s late penalty.

Alaves 0 - 2 Osasuna

Alaves have also lost all of their games at the start of the season after suffering a 2-0 defeat at home to Osasuna, who claimed all three points thanks to a David Garcia header in the 21st minute of the game and a 28th minute penalty from Roberto Torres following a handball in the Alaves area.

Elche 1 - 1 Levante

Elche and Levante drew 1-1 with Jose Luis Morales’ 55th minute goal cancelling out Lucas Perez’s 33rd minute opener for the home side.

Cadiz 2 - 1 Celta Vigo

The round of matches kicked off as Cadiz won 2-1 away to Celta Vigo thanks to goals from Anthony Lozano and Alfonso Espino, who scored from close range after a penalty.

Why has Italy won the World Cup the most amongst European nations?

Let me tell you , Germany now has the same number of world cups as that of Italy. But yes, When it comes to major achievements in the international arenas, no nation has won as much as the Mediterranean country. So what is the secret behind this success? Madonna once famously flaunted a slogan T-Shirt with the caption: "Italians do it better". And while the Princess of Pop was suggestively alluding to another physically popular pastime, she could just as well have been referring to soccer. Tactical Supremacy On a purely footballing level, there is little doubt that Italy’s tactical supremacy has been a key weapon.Whether it be Helenio Herrera’s Catenaccio, Sacchi’s total pressing or Luciano Spalletti’s ‘False 9’, the peninsula has long been at the forefront of strategic innovation. There is a unique obsession with tactics in Italy. Its importance is drilled into children from a young age and Jose Mourinho once amusingly remarked that “everyone in Italy thinks they...
