OLE’S AT THE WHEEL, BUT FOR HOW LONG?

Leicester City increased the pressure on Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as they ran out fully deserved winners in a thriller at King Power Stadium.

Another day, another pathetic performance by Man United. Defensively frail, clueless in attack with a virtually non existent defensive midfield, their 29 game away unbeaten streak in the league has come to an end (not that it meant anything at this point).
With 6 shots on target(18 in total) to Leicester’s 11 (22), it is pretty evident who made the most dangerous and efficient attacks. Their attack was so helpless that the only way out (esp in the 1st half) were long shots,with greenwood scoring one of them(12 from outside the box in the entire game).

THE DEFENCE AND MIDFIELD

When Both centre backs were being pressed so hard and high up the pitch they had no space to operate with the ball. On top of this there were numerous misplaced passes,especially Maguire. A loose pass from De gea led to the first goal ridiculously.
Pogba and Matic couldn't really ease the pressure and play out from the back by not dropping between the lines and making quick passes, this really raises questions about whether Fred’s inability solely responsible for our midfield problems or it's the management's fault.


THE ATTACK

Most of the time the front 4 or 5 were shooting from outside the box or they were looking to put a cross in for CR7 who looked absolutely off colour. Frankly there was no attacking structure for most parts of the game except a few moments here and there.
All the players were on their own, Greenwood taking shots at every opportunity, Sancho trying to dribble and find space on his own and waiting for shaw to come to his aid, there was zero visible cohesion in the team. Bruno could muster a few good crosses but that's about it.

United have now taken just one point from their last three matches, meaning frustrations amongst the supporters are beginning to mount.

Next up for United in the league is a clash with Liverpool next weekend, meaning Solskjaer's troops will have significant improvements to make.
