Chelsea has sacked Graham Potter: Another one bites the dust

Chelsea has sacked head coach Graham Potter on Sunday after less than seven months in charge.

Chelsea fell into the bottom half of the Premier League following Saturday's 2-0 home defeat to Aston Villa, Potter's 11th defeat in 31 games since replacing Thomas Tuchel in September.

British Government can remove the man (Roman Abramovich), but not the ideology. The decision comes after another PL manager, Brendan Rodgers was sacked by relegation-threatened Leicester City, earlier in the day. Potter failed to weave his magic on the team. Toddy Boehly and Behdad Egbali have confirmed that Bruno Saltor will serve as an interim manager until the end of the season. Chelsea have 10 PL games remaining and play Real Madrid in 10 days in the UCL QF.

The sacking was imminent after Bayern’s ex-manager Julian Nagelsmann’s availability on the market and Chelsea dropping to 11th on the PL table, with just the teams battling relegation below them. Nagelsmann is now the favorite to become Chelsea’s new manager, according to Fabrizio Romano. If that happens, that would mean Chelsea and Bayern Munich swapped managers with whom they began the 2022–23 season.

Chelsea owners Boehly and Eghbali have reverted their thoughts on the decision- “On behalf of everyone at the club, we want to thank Graham. We have the highest degree of respect for Graham as a coach and as a person”.

“He has always conducted himself with professionalism and integrity”.

Why has Italy won the World Cup the most amongst European nations?

Let me tell you , Germany now has the same number of world cups as that of Italy. But yes, When it comes to major achievements in the international arenas, no nation has won as much as the Mediterranean country. So what is the secret behind this success? Madonna once famously flaunted a slogan T-Shirt with the caption: "Italians do it better". And while the Princess of Pop was suggestively alluding to another physically popular pastime, she could just as well have been referring to soccer. Tactical Supremacy On a purely footballing level, there is little doubt that Italy’s tactical supremacy has been a key weapon.Whether it be Helenio Herrera’s Catenaccio, Sacchi’s total pressing or Luciano Spalletti’s ‘False 9’, the peninsula has long been at the forefront of strategic innovation. There is a unique obsession with tactics in Italy. Its importance is drilled into children from a young age and Jose Mourinho once amusingly remarked that “everyone in Italy thinks they...
