SEVEN STRAIGHT PREMIER LEAGUE WINS FOR ARSENAL

An emphatic reply from Arsenal after City’s win earlier in the day.
Arsenal keep their 8 point lead over Manchester City having played a game more, Points on the board is better than games in hand at this stage. 

The Gunners were under pressure to win as Manchester City had won earlier in the day, Saka missed the game due to an illness, Jesus partnered Trossard and Martinelli in attack. 

Jesus won a penalty early on to set Arsenal on their way. At halftime it was quite close, Leeds were in the game. Then second half, Arsenal came quickly out of the traps. A low cross into the middle from Martinelli and White arrived at the back post to finish.

Jesus got his brace as Trossard pulled the ball back from a tight space into the box and put it on a plate for the Brazilian who couldn’t miss, A striker’s finish.

Leeds got a goal back but Arsenal scored their 4th. Odegaard was given lot of space and the Norwegian put his head up and picked out Xhaka with a cross, the Swiss headed in expertly to make it 4–1 and game over. Arsenal now have 72 points after 29 games!


Mikel Arteta on how the team is shutting out the nerves: “Just enjoy the moment that we are in. We have nine games to go but [on Monday] we have a training session that is going to enable us to be better as a team."
