FOOTBALL TALKS WITH MARCEL

FOOTBALL TALKS" is the new section of SHOWMYBIZZ where visitors will see us interviewing fan clubs , football journalist and individual football personals. 

I'm super excited to introduce my first guest Mr. Marcel, he is a football personal and runs a football vblog or channel on YouTube called Simply Marcel. Apart from this, he is an Ajax fan and Barca follower and also a great representative of the sport. It's an honour for me to have someone like him for the first instalment of this series. Marcel came across as a thoughtful and well mannered individual who is passionate about football. 

We share a thing in common that's our love for FC Barcelona. SHOWMYBIZZ got the chance to get his views on recent developments in the FC BARCELONA.

 Here it is - 

Firstly, thank you for taking time out from your busy schedule to answer our questions.

No problem at all man.

What's your views on laporta as president? Also what happened between him and koeman like clearly laporta wasn't happy with the way things went towards the end of the season?

My impression of Laporta is that he is a very smart president and takes thought through decisions! He is doing very well so far and got some good signings. It will be a big job this summer but i trust him with his previous experience. i think with Koeman towards the end of the season, he just wants the best for the team. Some things could have been dealt in a better way but it looked like some comunication taken out of proportion by both sides.

Who excites you the most between our four new singings? Also your views on Wijnaldum choosing not to sign with fc Barcelona?

As i am Dutch i support Wijnaldum in everything he does and he performs amazing for our national side. not the right signing for Barcelona. In regards to the most exciting signing, would be Depay for me! i Think he will do amazing as a LW with Aguero as ST. once Fati is back they can switch between ST and LW in my opninion. i can't wait to see Memphis do his celebration at the Camp Nou.

Lately as we see from Spanish newspapers there's a lot optimism about signing Bernardo Silva or laporte or sterling or de ligt ( tomorrow they could include city's mascot or kitman😂😂). How much truth to these stories considering club's financial situation or exchanging with players? 

yeah it's really funny reading all the rumours! i think its because there is not so many leaks under Laporta so the press go off mis quotes i think. i don't think these city players are reachable man. maybe for next summer Laporta can break the bank. he can only do that now if he sells Griezman or Dembele, however the latter is difficult now he is injured.

There's a lot news about players leaving , in an ideal scenario who do you want to see leave the club?

i think there has to be a clear out in defence like Umtiti and Lenglet and Firpo to try and sign a LB to put pressure on Alba. coutinho should also be sold and looking at Pjanic also. Laporat will be busy this summer!

In your opinion what are the areas where you want reinforcements and why? Let's say in defence likes of umtiti or lenglet is not good enough and araujo , mingueza or garcia is good but not at that level yet. If you had the chance to sign the players ,who would you sign in the defence , midfield and attack?

I reckon Barca should try and get Lisandro Martinez from Ajax as a CB replacement for Lenglet. He is cheap and will adapt to the style quickly. Gaya seems to be a great option for LB. For midfielders, i am not sure if a transfer is needed. Unless it is a world class midfielder. Attack is done in my opinion.

What's your opinion in likes of trincao , dembele and Coutinho?

The 3 playes you mentioned, it will be hard to get minutes with all the exciting signings and youngsters. I would sell Coutinho, Dembele when he is fit then analyse what to do or sell him in the winter and Trincao on a loan maybe as i can see him being great in the future.

There are lot of exciting player coming up from la masia , from what you see who would promote to first team this season?

I hear a lot about this Callado kid. He should get a shot in pre season. I also hear about this CDM kid(I guess he's taking about Nico Gonzalez) and i would like to see him also. I can't remember his name :)

If we count on the positives of last season's then we need to talk about likes of pedri ,ansu fati or araujo or mingueza or dest? How do you see them growing and how far they could go?

Fati will depend on his recovery. I would like to see him tried at striker, i think he would do great there! Aurojo and Minqueza are great CB. I can see Aurojo be World class in a few years. Mingueza i need to see more off, although he has impressed me a lot! for Dest, he is in great attacking, has to work a little on his positioning, but can also be a great full back! Dest as a Ajax kid i want him to do well. 

How do you barca's sporting structure changing with the appointment of jordi cruyff?or How it will impact sporting areas of barca?

Jordi Cruijff is an interesting appointment, and i will have to wait and see on his impact on the club. It is a great thing to see a Cruijff name back at the club and i am excited to see how he will influence the decision making at the club.

As everyone knows one day Xavi will manage FC Barcelona. When and how do you see him managing the club?

Xavi seems ready, the thing is he will be a risky appointment like Pep was. However has the potential to be as good as pep. Maybe i would like to see him with another la liga team at first or Barca B team before the first team so maybe in 1 or 2 years.

Lastly, what's your views on argentina and messi in copa America?

It will be difficult for Messi and Co winning the Copa. Brazil is the clear favourite. However with messi in your team you are already 50% ahead of your oponent! i am supporting them.
